Pennsylvania charter schools are public schools, funded by public tax dollars. The law requires every public charter school to have an indpependent financial audit conduced by an independent certified accounting firm. Copies of the audit and its findings are submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the School District of Philadelphia and the Board of Trustees of the charter school.
